WHO IS WE
ChikChak began in a small room in Berlin in 2024, when a passing thought, "maybe we should learn how to crochet," turned into a practice that stuck. What started as tangled yarn and frustrated attempts slowly became a rhythm, then a ritual, then a way of thinking with the hands rather than the mind.
At its core, ChikChak is about the intimacy of working by hand. Loop by loop a small repeated motion that quiets the noise and brings you back into your body.
Today ChikChak works with hand-picked merino wool yarn, chosen for its ethical purpose and intention towards healthy body and skin .
The name is a wordplay: part nod to the song "Chik Chak Chok," part reference to an Arabic gesture of inserting one thing into another, the very motion of a crochet hook through yarn.
Looking ahead, ChikChak hopes to grow beyond one pair of hands, with a vision to create social program connecting craft, community, and creativity as a tool of having a voice and to regulate .
