1. Shipping Policy
Made-to-Order Processing
Every Chikchak piece is handmade to order. Please allow up to 30 days for your item to be crocheted before it ships. During high-demand periods (holidays, drops), processing may take longer — we'll always keep you posted.
Delivery
• UAE (Domestic): delivered within 1–3 business days
• GCC: delivered within 3–10 business days
• Europe: delivered within 3–10 business days
• Rest of World: rates and timeframes calculated at checkout based on destination
A tracking number is emailed once your order ships. Chikchak is not responsible for delays caused by the courier or customs once the package has left our hands.
2. Return & Exchange Policy
Because each piece is handmade — often to order — our return policy reflects that care and craftsmanship.
Ready-to-Ship Items
• Returns accepted within [7–14 days] of delivery
• Item must be unused, unworn, and in original packaging
• Customer covers return shipping unless the item arrived damaged or defective
Made-to-Order & Custom Pieces
• Final sale — custom colors, sizes, or designs are cut and crocheted specifically for you
• Exception: manufacturing defects or shipping damage, reported within [48 hours] of delivery with photos
Refunds
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within [14-30 business days] of the returned item being received.
3. Payment Policy
• Accepted payments: Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay
• All prices listed in AED (UAE Dirham); international customers are charged in AED, converted by their bank
• Payments are processed securely through Stripe
Chikchak does not store your card details — all transactions are encrypted and handled by our payment partner.
4. Custom & Made-to-Order Policy
• A non-refundable deposit of 50% may be required for fully custom pieces before production begins
• Cancellations accepted only before crocheting has started
• Turnaround time for custom orders: up to 30 days, depending on complexity
Because merino wool is hand-picked per order, small variations in color and texture between batches are natural — not a defect.
5. Care Instructions
Chikchak pieces are made with hand-picked merino wool. To keep them looking their best:
• Hand wash cold with a gentle detergent
• Lay flat to dry — do not tumble dry or wring
• Avoid direct heat and prolonged sun exposure
• Store folded, not hung, to preserve shape
• Keep away from rough surfaces or velcro to prevent snagging
6. Privacy Policy
Chikchak collects only the information needed to process and deliver your order: name, shipping address, email, and phone number. Payment details are handled directly and securely by our payment provider — we never see or store your full card number.
Your information is used solely for order fulfillment and, if you opt in, occasional updates on new drops and restocks. We do not sell or share your data with third parties beyond what's required to ship your order (courier) and process payment (payment gateway).
Chikchak handles personal data in line with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL). You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
7. Terms of Service
• Chikchak is a registered e-commerce brand operating under UAE trade license 1615262
• All product descriptions, colors, and measurements are as accurate as possible; slight variations are expected due to the handmade nature of each piece
• Prices are listed in AED and may change without prior notice; the price at checkout is final
• These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates
Children
This store is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed, and any update takes effect once posted on this page.
